Cushing’s Island
Casco Bay, Maine

Ferry service departs Long Wharf in Portland on the passenger ferry St. P5060014 Croix.

First boat of the 2008 season is Saturday, May 3rd at 9:30 AM

Departure times are from Long Wharf. Return service from Cushing’s Island is 1/2 hour later.

All boats call at Summer Landing on Cushing’s Island except the Friday night boat which calls at Government Dock.

The Rules

Parties of 10 or more must check with the captain before taking a scheduled boat, as space is somewhat limited.
Passengers with significant baggage who arrive less than 15 minutes before boat time risk missing the boat - don’t forget to leave sufficient time to park your car.
Passengers should assist the Island crew in boat unloading.
Maximum weight limit for freight is 35 pounds per item, unless you load and unload yourself.
Freight information and rates are available from the captain.
All baggage, groceries, etc. must be labelled with the cottage name so the caretaker and Island crew will know where to deliver items.
All items must be packed in durable boxes or bags - no paper bags please.
Heavy freight, such as washers and refrigerators, must have prior confirmation from the captain and caretaker.
No heavy freight can be accepted on the commuter runs without prior confirmation from the captain.
The caretaker will meet the Friday night 9:30 PM boat only if notified before 6 PM.
All dogs must be on short leashes on the dock and ferry.
